Trinnov‘s D-Mon is a Digital Integrated Monitoring Processor, with the acclaimed Optimizer room correction and monitor controller in one.

As the successors of the ST2 Pro and MC models, the D-Mon and Nova feature the Trinnov Optimiser at their core, allowing for an astonishingly accurate listening environment through perfectly tuned speaker sets.

With 16 channels readily available, the D-Mon can be used in any studio configuration, from a 5.1 to a Dolby Atmos 9.3.6 setup.

What is Room Correction and Speaker Optimization?

The acoustics of a room affects the sound that you hear coming from your speakers which in turn affects the way you manipulate your mix. Traditional methods of acoustic treatment will help to control this but there are still artefacts that cannot be corrected by acoustics alone. Trinnov Audio has developed a range of stereo and surround optimisers using the latest DSP real-time processing that will improve the accuracy of your room through your speaker system.

Trinnov has applied the results of breakthrough research in loudspeaker/room acoustics to create a new generation of loudspeaker processors, setting a new benchmark for accurate sound reproduction. The Trinnov Optimizer takes mix translation to the next level.

While the room and the loudspeakers need to be analysed and eventually treated separately by most technologies on the market, the Optimizer considers and addresses every aspect of the reproduction system in its acoustic environment at the same time. Problems are identified, cross-analysed and compensated with the most efficient and best-sounding compromise.

Performance

The Trinnov Audio D-Mon is designed not only to replace the AVID X-Mon. It is also designed to interface with any DAW studio and act as a console centre section. It offers the user a number of features alongside the Optimizer with room correction at its core. These features include speaker switching, routing, summing, assigning inputs to cue, stem mixes, sends for fold back, and listen and talk back feeds. The D-Mon is a complete monitoring solution for the modern studio and then some!

Thanks to the power of the best room correction in the world, the Trinnov D-MON Series is not only a future proof system as is stands but will remain able to welcome any new loudspeakers or transducer technologies. The D-MON redefines professional audio monitoring, what with it being able to support up to 18 acoustic Optimization channels.

Configurations

The D-Mon Series is highly adaptable and open to more control protocols. Thanks to its remote D-Mon Control Panel that can accommodate legacy formats (like Midi). As well as emerging formats such as (OCA or EmBer+). It can work with virtually any kind of recording/production/post software and consoles.

As part of Avid’s 3rd party program, the D-Mon® Series has been developed to meet the Eucon protocol specifications. It provides Avid Pro Tools users with a comprehensive alternative to the X-Mon analogue processor for the S6, S5, and S3 control surfaces. It is also backwards compatible which supports Icon, D-Control, and D-Command.
