The Neumann MT 48 is a cutting-edge 4-in/8-out audio interface that redefines industry standards. With 78dB of gain available on preamps, an impressive dynamic range of up to 136 dB(A), and expandability via AES67/Ravenna, ADAT, SPDIF and now Dante, it sets a new benchmark for performance and versatility.
What sets the MT 48 apart is its superior resolution, delivering four times the detail of comparable interfaces. Its 78 dB of gain supports even low -output ribbon microphones, while the ultra-low impedance headphone outputs perform better than competing devices and external headphone amps.
User-friendly design is a priority with the MT 48. The high resolution touchscreen and intuitive interface allow all settings to be adjusted directly on device, eliminating the need for additional software or controllers.
Designed in collaboration with the Swiss manufacturer Merging Technologies for reference-grade studios, the MT 48 features two ultra-low noise mic/line preamps, two line/instrument inputs, four monitor/line outputs and two state of the art headphone outputs.
The MT 48 also delivers exceptional control and processing capabilities. Four independent monitor mixes can be managed directly via the touchscreen. On-board effects include a fully parametric 4-band EQ, a 3-way dynamics processor (gate/compressor/limiter) for each channel and a high-quality reverb. With ample DSP power, the MT 48 is ready to accommodate anything the future holds.
Despite its enormous scope of features, the MT 48 always remains easy to operate. All settings can be made on the device itself via the built-in touchscreen. Simply use your fingers to adjust pan pots, channel faders and much more, without having to switch to a mixer software on your computer. The MT 48 can even be operated stand-alone as a mixing console.
The MT 48 leaves nothing to be desired: audio quality at the highest level, built-in DSP processing, comprehensive expandability, and convenience via the touchscreen.
The MT 48 is an audio interface and digital mixing desk in one. You can use its DSP processing for monitoring only, or you can print effects while recording. Or both at the same time! Thanks to the unique Dual Output Technology, wet and dry signals can be recorded simultaneously via separate driver channels. So, if necessary, you can fall back on an unprocessed backup.
With the Monitor Mission, the MT 48 transforms into a cutting-edge, fully equipped, and highly versatile monitor controller. Whether working with mono, stereo, surround, or immersive audio formats, the Monitor Mission offers comprehensive configuration options.
It includes advanced tools like precise trim and delay adjustments to correct level and timing differences, as well as up to 24-band EQs per output channel for room calibration. Additional features such as flexible bass management and downmix capabilities further enhance its versatility.
During operation, users can effortlessly manage speaker sets and headphone cues, mute or solo speakers, and switch between speaker configurations. The Monitor Mission is an indispensable solution for mixing and mastering, delivering the flexibility needed to ensure exceptional sound quality across all media and playback devices.
Audinate’s highly popular Dante standard is now compatible. This adds the ability to interface with thousands of other Dante compatible devices on the market.
The MT 48 is Dante ready out of the box meaning that users who whish to operate in Dante can purchase a license to do so. It is not included with the purchase of The MT 48 ensuring that users not using Dante aren’t paying for a license they don’t need.
Two licenses are available, 16×16 I/O and 64×64 I/O.
